What a day celebrating Auster’s 2nd birthday as a club! We’ve built something really special, and days like today truly bring our little community to life. The people in this club are what make it so great.
A huge thank you to our social sec team for all the planning that went into today. And I’m sure everyone will agree the 4 cakes were next level.
I love what we have as a club. The turnout today was amazing, so thank you to everyone who came along. And to those who couldn’t make it, you were definitely missed. I’m sure we’ll all catch up out on the road soon, especially with everything we’ve got coming up this year.

Gran Canaria Spring 2026: A week of mountains, tailwinds and magic pickles - @sophiekemball
Gran Carnaria is an absolutely stunning island. The roads were incredibly smooth, winding through dramatic volcanic valleys with endless switchbacks and probably the most patient drivers I’ve ever come across.
By the end of the week, I’d completed 651.3 km and 12,910 m of climb - something I didn’t even imagine I’d be capable of. I feel incredibly grateful to the gang who provided so much support and motivation throughout the week and for keeping the pace steady when I needed it most.
The trip definitely had its fair share of Type 2 fun, but I wouldn’t have swapped out any of it.
It completely changed my perspective of what a “big climb” actually is and I’ve come back feeling stronger than ever - although I might need a few more days of recovery first.

Last weekend, we hosted an all club ride to Brighton. Just over 40 riders split into 5 different pace groups heading down to Brighton from Clapham Common. Different pace groups and different length rides means that all of our members needs were met. It was awesome to see and hear about lots of firsts and successes.

Amazing day today celebrating IWD with a club ride lead by 5 of our amazing female ride leaders and bringing out over 30 of our club members.
The route took us through Surreys rolling hills to The Plucky Pheasant before back to our start/finish in Richmond Park.
Our club has a 31% F to 69% M ratio, above the national average, but it leaves us with a goal to do more in this space.
